Skills Combine
Jan 23, 2010Leland Clemmons is a 2011 5'9"-155lb primary OF from Indian River HS in Chesapeake, VA playing for Coach Steve West . Leland showed he belongs at the top of the list of 2011 OF prospects on a "national level". Posting a 6.78 sixty, 4.69 forty times with 90mph OF arm velocity reading and showing college level hitting tools and potential pro level power with 90mph exit velocity hitting form (8) on the radar tee. A RH hitter, Clemmons showed above ave college level and (8) power. Using a reverse top tap trigger, Clemmons shows exceptional bat speed and balance in swing with very short bat path and shows very good extension after contact. Stays behind the ball very well and hits the ball deep in the zone. Speed will allow Leland the hold down the CF spot with exceptional athleticism in actions. National level player with strong draft potential. Big time talent.
Look for Leland Clemmons to be rated high in Insiderbaseball.net ratings when released in February.
As always Leland, Aunt Bettie is so proud of you. Keep up the good work, it will pay off in the long run. Also, keep your grades up, forget not your education. You will need that even more when you are no longer able to play ball. God bless you and God bless your parents.
