AL - Jacob Milliman Impressive in Win Over Rival Tallassee

The Stanhope Elmore High School junior showed well in his outing Saturday pitching seven complete innings and picking up a win for his school. The 6-5/215 right hander kept a low pitch count and while his fastball was somewhat off found a way to get hitters out. Milliman is country raw with nice now strength and very projectable arm and body.  Last summer his FB topped out at 88 mph and sat comfortably around 86 mph. His FB has nice arm side tail action and he locates it well to both sides of the plate. His change has improved at 72 mph with nice arm side sinking action. His 65-66 mph CB still is somewhat loose and needs work, but is an effective pitch for him at the high school level. This one has a nice upside with future pro potential.
