Jack Roberts, 2013 RHP, James River HS Virginia

Jack Roberts is a 2013 6'3-180lb primary RHP attending James River HS in Richmond, VA.  Jack again impressed us and continues to add velocity and strength.  Jack hit a new velocity high for us with a 85mph fb that shows outstanding life.  He also showed a 69mph cb with good spin and that pitch looks be very close to developing into a hammer cb. Jack also showed a 73mph change up with very nice life and arm deception.  Clearly a top level "national" talent, Jack has the size and strength to reach the highest levels.  In the OF he showed 85mph arm strength and college level carry on his throws.  In the batters box, the RH hitter showed college level bat speed, good balance in swing, and nice line drive sing plane.  Jack uses the whole field and should only get stronger. Showed 77mph exit velocity on the radar tee.  Names to Top Prospect List from this event.  Definite early sign for any program.
