Nykolai Ellis, 2012 C, Grassfield HS Virginia

Nykolai Ellis is a 2012 6'1-183lb primary catcher attending Grassfield HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Big arm strength behind the dish with very good blocking skills.  Showing quick, college speed, transfers, he posted a 1.94 pop time and 76mph arm strength.  Nykolai registered a 7.41 sixty, a 5.13 forty, and a 4.53 home to first base times.  A RH hitter , he showed excellent 84mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  In the box, he hits from a wide stance showing very good bat speed and hand strength.  Nykolai will use the whole field and shows very good opposite field power.  He attacks the ball and should really hit has he matures.  Named to the Top Prospect List from this event.   Definite college projection behind the dish.
