Austin is a talented 2010 IF prospect from Trussville, Alabama. He posted a 7.10 sixty / 4.88 forty with an average running gait. In the infield he has range and showed soft hands. Paul Johnson (LHP) - 2012 Hartselle HS - AL

Paul is a promising 2012 LHP from Hartselle, Alabama with a projectable frame. He is a softy lefty that spots up his FB well and lives low in the zone. He needs to gain velocity, but as a 2012 he has time to do so. He has an effortless delivery and nice linear finish. His FB is 77 mph with good arm side tail action. His CB has a 2-8 tilt with good rotation at 64 mph. His CH is 68 with arm side sink and average deception. This one is a close follow as he matures and develops further. He could become a top prospect if his velocity improves.

Ash Ryan (C) - 2010 Chelsea HS - Covenant Christian College - AL

Ash is a nice, solid 2010 catching prospect from Birmingham, Alabama who is signed at Covenant Christian College. He receives well with average blocking skills. His throws are accurate and online. He posted a 1.96 pop time to second base with a 75 mph velocity. He works with pitchers well and has solid set-ups. At the plate he has some length in his stroke, but handles mid velocity pitching okay. He has gap power with average bat speed and can hit to the opposite field and knows the game well.

Holt Ryan (LHP) - 2010 Chelsea HS - Southern Union CC - AL

Holt is a crafty 2010 LHP prospect from Birmingham, Alabama. All he does is miss bats and win games. On several occasion we have watched this craft LHP frustrate hitters for seven innings. On the mound he posted an 77 mph fast ball with average life, but we have seen it up to 81-82. His CB was 63-65 mph with an 2-8 tilt and above average spin and depth. His CH was 72-73 mph with arm side sink and good deception. He commands his three pitches well and will throw any of them in any count with confidence. He lives low in the zone and produces a lot of ground ball outs. He has signed with Southern Union Community College.

Colt Buttram (OF/1B) - 2011 Sylvania HS - AL

Colt is a promising 2011 OF/1B with fluid actions and nice skills. He shows signs of future growth and added strength that will heighten his game. In the field he shows adequate range for a corner position. He posted a 7.07 sixty and 4.94 forty time. He shows arm strength with throws of 80 mph from the outfield. He has a nice RH power stroke that posted a 87 mph radar tee reading. He is a power hitter and middle of the lineup type hitter. Nice prospect.

Ryan Madewell (IF) - 2013 Priceville HS - AL

Ryan is a young, developing 2013 1B/3B from Somerville, Alabama with some thickness to his frame. In the field he moves fairly well and has the speed to handle 3B, but lacks the instincts at this point. He is young and developing with ample time to get where he needs to be. he has some arm strength with 76 mph throws from the outfield and 71 mph from the infield. On the mound his FB was 80 mph and straight. His CB was 68 mph with a 10-4 tilt. His CH was 71 mph. he needs to improve his game some, but is young and has time.

Barr Miller (RHP) - 2011 Westbrook Christian - AL

Barr is a competitive 2011 RHP from Gadsden, Alabama. He is a soft lefty with a RH arm. He works backwards off his CB well and sets up his FB that looks better after seeing his CB. His CB is his best pitch and at times is a knee buckler at 63 mph with depth and bite. His CH also is a good pitch for him at 68 MPH and arm side sink with above average deception. He spots his 78 mph FB well to both sides of the plate and keeps it low in the zone. He is a ground ball out pitcher who can frustrate hitters who are unable to center balls. He needs to gain some velocity, but has a chance. He also is a very good student which helps.

Jacob Mayfield (C) - 2011 Westbrook Christian - AL

Jacob is a talented, athletic 2011 catcher/OF/RHP from Gadsden, Alabama. His body shows some projection with signs of good work habits and conditioning. He runs above average posting a 6.75 sixty and 4.78 forty with normal running effort. He shows nice defensive skills behind the plate with efficient feet and above average receiving skills. He needs to improve his blocking, but it is not bad now. His glove is soft and transfers are smooth with athleticism. His arm is above average for his age posting 74 mph throws and 1.88 pops to second base with online, accurate throws. At the plate he hits with gap to gap power with HR power to his pull side and a fast bat through the zone. He has a quick approach with a small load of the hands. He is a nice catching prospect who can play in the outfield or go to the mound to help you.

Bryce Jay (LHP/OF) - 2013 Gardendale HS - AL

Bryce is a promising 2013 LHP/OF from Gardendale, Alabama. His body shows some projection with signs of puberty kicking in which will increase his strength and improve his game. He runs average posting a 7.19 sixty and 4.97 forty with normal running effort. In the field he has  average range with instincts for the ball, but needs to be more aggressive in his defensive play. His arm is average for his age posting 73 mph throws across the diamond with online, accurate throws. At the plate his bat is a little long and occasionally drags through the zone. Michael Haynes (IF/RHP) - 2012 Niceville HS - FL

Michael is a nice 2012 IF/RHP from Destin, Florida. He has a projectable frame and shows now strength. He shows range sufficient for a corner infielder with the arm strength to handle 3B well. He  posted 7.09 sixty and 4.90 forty times. In the field he moves well with athletic actions and a soft glove. His arm shows strength posting a 80 mph throw across the diamond. At the plate he posted a 86 mph radar tee velocity and gap to gap power during BP. He showed contact ability with above average bat speed and a nice approach. He has a gap to gap stroke and is a HR threat to pull side. Nice prospect with an upside to his game.

Luke Harris (RHP/C) - 2012 Grissom HS - AL

Luke is a promising 2012 RHP/C from Huntsville, Alabama. He has a lean frame with wiry strength. He is a good catch and throw guy behind the dish, but is somewhat lacking at the plate at this time. He posted 7.56 sixty and 5.22 forty times. He moves well behind the plate with a sound receiving glove and blocking skills. His arm shows strength posting a 2.16 pop at 73 mph to second base. At the plate he posted a 80 mph radar tee velocity. He showed contact ability with average bat speed and a normal approach. He has a line drive swing plane with some length and average HS power. On the mound we see more promise. He competes very well with poise, confidence and a bulldog type demeanour. He live low in the zone and gets a lot of ground ball outs. His FB was 81 mph with some tail action. His CB was was 65 mph with a 11-5 tilt and good spin. His CH was 74 mph with fair deception, but it needs a few more mph off of it for it to become a great pitch for him.

Christian Depew (MIF) - 2012 Hewitt Trussville HS - AL

Christian is a young, developing 2012 MIF prospect from Trussville, Alabama.  In the infield he covered ground with some range and showed soft hands. He has average arm strength posting a 77 mph across the diamond. His radar tee reading was 71 mph with a line drive swing plane. He is likely a late line-up type hitter at this point with contact ability that can move and score runners. He has average bat speed and approach that is straight to the ball. Phillip is a talented 2010 OF prospect from Leroy, Alabama. He posted a 6.87 sixty with a smooth running gait. In the outfield he covered ground with good angles and showed soft hands. He has arm strength posting an 88 mph from the outfield. His radar tee reading was 95 mph with a line drive swing plane. On the mound hr posted a 87-88 mph FB with average life. EJ is a promising 2010 MIF/OF with athletic actions and nice skills. He shows fast twitch actions. In the field he shows smooth, fluid actions with nice quick transfers that translates well in double play turns. He posted a 6.72 sixty and 4.62 forty time with a fluid, smooth gait. He shows average arm strength with throws of 76 mph across the diamond and 82 mph from the outfield. He has a nice RH stroke that has gap to gap power and is a two hole type hitter. Nice prospect.

Daniel Garner (C) - 2012 Sparkman HS - AL

Daniel  is an advanced 2012 C prospect from Madison, Alabama. He posted a 7.48 sixty and 5.28 forty, but sufficient for a college backstop. Behind the plate he shows efficient feet and adequate blocking skills with nice arm strength posting a 1.82 pop time at 82 mph. He receives well and showed soft hands. His radar tee reading was 94 mph with a a fast bat through the zone. He is quick to the ball and hits with power to all fields. He is a middle line-up type hitter that poses a HR threat at the plate. He has a fast bat and quick approach that is straight to the ball. Advanced prospect with upper level talent.

Caleb Waddell, 2011 C, Brooks HS - AL

Caleb is a developing 2011 C from Killen, Alabama. He has strength in his stocky frame. He posted a 7.82 sixty and 5.34 forty. He has average arm strength posting a 2.18 pop and 73 mph throw to second base. His throws were online with average accuracy. At the plate he has some pop in his bat posting a 83 mph radar tee velocity.

Trey Shaw (MIF) - 2011 Alexandria HS - AL

Trey is a nice 2011 MIF from Jacksonville, Alabama. He has a lean frame with average strength for his age. He runs slightly above HS average posting a 7.14 sixty and 4.91 forty with normal effort. Andrew Winfrey, 2014 SS, Cullman HS AL

Andrew is advanced for his age group (Class of 2014) and showed good foot speed posting a 7.12 sixty and a 4.97 forty yd time.  In the infield workout, Andrew posted 71mph arm strength velocity across the infield with nice footwork and clean transfers.  Andrew moves well to the balls and shows solid range to both sides.  At the plate he showed good balance in his swing with above ave hs power and hand strength.  Andrew uses the whole field and should develop nice gap to gap power.   Andrew posted a 79mph exit velocity on the radar tee.  We like everything about his game and see Andrew developing into a top level player with continued hard work.  Definite follow.

Sawyer Williams (OF) 2011Cullman HS - AL

Sawyer is a promising 2011 OF from Cullman, Alabama with a nice frame that projects. He runs slightly above HS average posting a 7.12 sixty and 5.07 forty. In the field he has a solid glove and can cover ground well enough for a corner guy. His arm posted a 78 mph throw from the outfield with online throws. His best tool may be his bat. He hits from the left side with some pop. He comes form a good HS program that teaches hitting well and it shows in Sawyer. He has a nice LH stroke with above average bat speed and power to his pull side. He posted a 85 mph radar tee velocity and shows gap to gap hitting ability. His bat will likely get him into someone's lineup.

 

Fred Williams, 2011 OF, Bob Jones HS AL

Fred is an upcoming 2011 OF prospect from Madison, Alabama. He posted a 6.88 sixty and 4.84 forty with a smooth running gait. In the outfield he covered ground and showed soft hands. He has average arm strength posting a 72 mph from the outfield. His radar tee reading was 82 mph with a line drive swing plane. He is a late line-up type hitter at this point that can advance runners. He has average bat speed and solid approach. He has a chance with some development.

Austin is a young 2012 LHP from Cullman, Alabama with a small frame. He is a typical soft lefty that works backwards trying to frustrate hitters. He posted a 7.40 sixty and 5.13 forty. He commanded his pitches at HS average. His FB was 69 mph with average run. His CB was 65 mph with a 2-8 tilt and average spin. His CH was 62 MPH and might be his best pitch. He needs to grow and develop, but has a chance.

Jacob Tidmore, 2013 2B, Shelby County HS AL

Jacob is a young, developing 2013 IF from Columbiana, Alabama with a small frame. There is growth ahead of him, but his body doesn't project well at this point. He ran fairly well for his age posting a 7.29 sixty and 5.00 forty. He had a 64 mph throw across the infield and showed a solid glove for his age. At the plate he posted a 66 mph radar tee velocity that is sure to improve a he grows.

Jalen is a young, athletic 2012 OF/IF from Montgomery, Alabama. His body shows now strength with signs of good work habits. He runs well posting a 6.53 sixty and 4.53 forty with normal running effort. In the field he has above average range with some rawness in his mechanics. His glove and transfers are okay. Ryan Smith (OF) 2012 Vestavia Hills HS - AL

Ryan is an athletic, talented 2012 OF prospect from Birmingham, Alabama. He posted a 6.50 sixty and 4.44 forty with a smooth running gait. In the outfield he covered ground with good angles and showed soft hands. He has arm strength posting an 80 mph from the outfield. His radar tee reading was 91 mph with a line drive swing plane. He shows gap to gap power and HR power to his pull side. Nice early line-up type hitter that becomes a base stealing threat on base.

William Skipper (LHP/OF) 2011 Rehobeth HS - AL

Hunter was one of the top five prospects at the event. He is a nice 2011 LHP/OF with dual skills. His body projects well at 6-4/185 as does his arm. He runs well posting a 6.67 sixty and 4.69 forty with a smooth running gait. He covers ground well in the outfield with proper angles and good reads off the bat. He shows arm strength posting solid 88 mph throws that were online and accurate. His glove is soft with quick transfers. He hits with some pop and the prototypical LH smooth stroke with a slight lift in its plane. He is a HR threat to his pull side and normal gap to gap power. He centers balls and creates backspin with carry. On the mound he was equally as impressive with a lively arm from a 3/4 slot. His FB was 86 mph with nice run and some sink. His CB is 73-75 mph with a 2-8 tilt and good spin. His CH is a work in progress, but still a good pitch now at 74 mph and sink. This one is a must see. He is an upper level college prospect with draft potential.

Ryan Sheekley (IF/OF) 2012 Niceville HS - FL

Ryan is a developing 2012 OF/IF from Niceville, Florida. His body shows some projection with average HS strength. He runs HS average posting a 7.38 sixty and 5.19 forty with normal running effort. Ample to handle a corner outfield position at the next level. His outfield throws were online at 76 mph and he posted a 75 mph throw from the infield. He has a nice LH stroke that posted a 84 mph radar tee reading. He has gap to gap power with a lot of pop in his bat and is a HR threat. Good middle of the lineup type hitter. Nice prospect with a large upside.

Samuel Murphree, 2014 2B, Cullman HS AL

 
Samuel is a very young 2014 IF from Cullman, Alabama developing his game. His body lacks core strength at this time, but will likely come with natural maturation. He posted a 8.25 sixty and 5.18 forty. His throws were 71 mph across the diamond. He shows a solid glove that will get better in time and with better mechanics. At the plate he posted a 78 mph radar tee with a nice line drive swing plane. He needs to grow to improve his game, but has plenty of time for future growth and development. It will be nice to follow his progress the next few years.

Zach Morgan (OF/MIF) 2011 Choctawhatchee HS - FL

Zach is a speed, athletic 2011 MIF/OF from Shalimar, Florida. He has a lean frame with wiry strength. Jacob is a big, projectable 2011 RHP prospect from Deatsville, Alabama. On the mound he posted an 87-88 mph fast ball with average life to arm side. His CB was 73-74 mph with an 11-5 tilt and above average spin and depth. His CH was 73-75 mph with arm side sink and good deception. He locates his FB well and has above HS average command of his off-speed pitches. His has a good mound presence with poise and a competitive demeanour. He challenges hitters and throws strikes with few walks.

Cameron McNabb, 2011 C, Choctawhatchee HS AL

 

Cameron is a promising 2011 C/OF from Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He has a sound frame and shows HS average strength. He shows some range in the outfield and posted 7.16 sixty and 4.90 forty times which is ample for a college corner outfielder. Behind the plate he moves well with solid set-ups and a sound glove. Sam is a promising 2012 RHP/IF from Fairhope, Alabama. He has a projectable frame and shows HS average strength now. He has a nice stroke that posted a 79 mph radar tee reading. He has gap to gap power and is a two hole type hitter. Nice prospect.
