Billy Nixon, 2011 RHP/OF Southampton HS (VA)

Billy Nixon continues to add velcoity to his fastball and now has his curveball stepping up.  Nixon is a 2011-5'11/163lbs RHP attending Southamptron HS in Courtland, VA.  Nixon with a polished delivery and throwing from a mid 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed, he showed 86mph fb with arm side run and good command, a 71mph cb with good shape and sharp bite, and 75mph change up with very good down action.  Nixon, a starting hs quarterback, has a repeatable delivery that will bring success at the college level.  He is a definite college level pitcher, and the hard part is projecting where he will top out.  Billy has added velocity every few months for the last 12 months.  Billy is a fierce competitor and he could be a big time "sleeper" .  College recruiters at all levels should take notice.
