Forrest Sterling, 2013 LHP/1B Alliance Christian HS (VA)

Forrest Sterling is a 2013-5'10/165lbs primary LHP attending Alliance Christian School in Portsmouth, VA.  Forrest showed 75mph fb with good arm side run, a 68mph cb with age ave spin and life, and a 69mph change up with very good life and command.  The change up is a very nice out pitch now and should only get more effective as he matures and adds velocity.  Forrest has a clean arm arch and smooth delivery.  Sterling is in the developmental stage as his frame matures and he adds core strength, he should see velocity increases.  He posted a 7.78 sixty yard and 5.60 forty yard times.  Forrest also worked out at first base showing 72mph arm strength and age average actions with glove and feet.  In batting practice, Forrest showed age average bat speed and power with a balanced swing and good extension after contact.  The mound looks like his spot right now.
