Joe Rogers, 2011 3B The Steward School (VA)

Joe Rogers was one of the most athletic players at the combine posting a 6.90 sixty and a 4.88 forty yard times.  Joe is a 2011-6'2/195lbs primary infielder attending The Steward School in Richmond, VA.  Joe started of impressing scouts and coaches with 81mph arm strength from the infield with college level carry on his throws.  Solid college level projection on defensive skills.  In the batters box, Joe is a RH hitter with very strong hands and college level power.  Joe could benefit from adding a little loading motion in his swing,  our scouts feel this will get his lower half into his swing and add even more power to him.  Posted a 81mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  As Joe adds more use of his hands in his swing, he will really get recruiters attention.  College level defensive tools.  Athletic and must be followed.

Nick Morabito, 2011 3B/RHP Bishop O'Connell HS(VA)

Nick Moribito can really drive the baseball.  Nick is a 2011 5'10/195lbs third baseman who attends Bishop O'Connell HS in Vienna, VA.  Nick lit it up in batting practice with long shots off the wall on the pro park.  Nick showed 87mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  Nick has very nice coiling action in his load and then can turn it loose.  College level power to all fields with ability to hit the ball deep over the plate.  Nick drove the ball very deep in the games with easy power.  On the mound, Nick showed 86mph fb  with arm side run, a 72mph cb with sharp bite, and 71 mph ch that is still developing.  Nick works from a high 3/4 arm slot with ave effort in release.  It looks like there is upper 80's fb in the near future.   At third base he showed 80mph arm strength across the infield with solid carry on throws through he bag.  Nick has a solid frame with tone and actions that play well around the bag at third base.  Nick showed very well in the workout despite the fact of playing football the day before, we are very excited about seeing Nick in the spring.  D1 bat and he should have a very good home in the 3/4 hole spot in a top level college batting order.    Sleeper in the mound.  Must see for college recruiters.

Rahiem Cooper, 2012 2B Orange HS(VA)

Rahiem Cooper is a 2012- 5'11/155lbs second baseman attending Orange HS.  Rahiem is very quick and posted a 6.84 sixty and 4.72 forty yard times.  Raheim can really swing the bat and uses the whole field with college level power.  He has a smooth swing with very short bat path and above ave hand strength.  Raheim hits with a tall stance and very little motion in triggering.  He can stay back on the ball and should be a huge run producer in college.  Raheim is a base stealer with fast twitch jumps.  At second base he has college level range with 74mph arm strength across the infield.  He has very quick hands shows very good transfers on double plays with solid arm strength to turn a double play off the bag side of the bag.  Definite d1 projection with pro scouts getting interested.  

Connor Staskey 2012 LHP Salem-VB HS (VA)

Connor Staskey is the type of LHP that all college recruiters stop in their tracks to watch.  Connor has a very quick arm and deception in delivery with outstanding run on his 86mph FB.  Connor Staskey is a 2012-6'0/165lbs LHP attending Salem HS in Virginia Beach, VA.  Connor also showed a 70mph cb with big depth and college level command, and a 75mph change up with good fade.  Scout notes stated:  ball comes out very good; strong and wirey frame; hides ball well;  high ceiling.  Definite d1 player who should bring some pro interest as velocity moves up.  Connor is all business on the mound with stoic glare into catcher.  Lively body and very fast arm make us feel 90's fb down the road.  D1 pitcher with pro interest.

Billy Nixon, 2011 RHP/OF Southampton HS (VA)

Billy Nixon continues to add velcoity to his fastball and now has his curveball stepping up.  Nixon is a 2011-5'11/163lbs RHP attending Southamptron HS in Courtland, VA.  Nixon with a polished delivery and throwing from a mid 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed, he showed 86mph fb with arm side run and good command, a 71mph cb with good shape and sharp bite, and 75mph change up with very good down action.  Nixon, a starting hs quarterback, has a repeatable delivery that will bring success at the college level.  He is a definite college level pitcher, and the hard part is projecting where he will top out.  Billy has added velocity every few months for the last 12 months.  Billy is a fierce competitor and he could be a big time "sleeper" .  College recruiters at all levels should take notice.

Richard Eisenhower, 2011 RHP Western Branch HS (VA)

Richard Eisenhower is a 2011- '6"0/185lbs., primary RHP from Western Branch HS in Chesapeake, VA. Richard is a RHP with developing velocity which has reached 88mph during the summer.  Richard showed 85mph fb with nice life and good command, a 76mph cb with college life and hard 12/6 action, and 73mph change up.  Richard pitches low in the zone and should continue to add strength and velocity.  At past events his change up was his best pitch and as of this event his curveball has taken over as his out pitch.  D1 velocity with two strong pitches, Richard has taken visits to several D1 schools.  Definite d1 prospect.

Luke Brunot, 2011 RHP Atlantic Shores HS (VA)

Luke Brunot is a 2011 RHP attending Atlantic Shores School in Virginia Beach, VA.  A RHP who can spot his fastball and curveball, Luke keeps hitters off balance by mixing speeds and locations.  Luke throws from a mid 3/4 arm slot with average effort coming from clean mechanics and a arm arch that works well on the backside.  Luke showed a 82mph FB with college command and nice life, a 69mph CB with tight spin and solid depth, and a 75mph change up he can throw in any count.  Polished with more velocity to come, Luke can be effective now in spot situations in college and could develop into a very good starter at the college level.  All business with very good mound presence.

Forrest Sterling, 2013 LHP/1B Alliance Christian HS (VA)

Forrest Sterling is a 2013-5'10/165lbs primary LHP attending Alliance Christian School in Portsmouth, VA.  Forrest showed 75mph fb with good arm side run, a 68mph cb with age ave spin and life, and a 69mph change up with very good life and command.  The change up is a very nice out pitch now and should only get more effective as he matures and adds velocity.  Forrest has a clean arm arch and smooth delivery.  Sterling is in the developmental stage as his frame matures and he adds core strength, he should see velocity increases.  He posted a 7.78 sixty yard and 5.60 forty yard times.  Forrest also worked out at first base showing 72mph arm strength and age average actions with glove and feet.  In batting practice, Forrest showed age average bat speed and power with a balanced swing and good extension after contact.  The mound looks like his spot right now.

Tim Brock, 2011 OF/3B Oscar Smith HS (VA)

Tim Brock is a 2011 two way threat on the baseball field as well as playing inside linebacker for a state champion caliber football team from last season at Oscar Smith HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Brock will get scholarship attention on the football field.  A 6'0/205 lbs OF/3B, we see Tim's future on the diamond in the outfield.  He showed 78mph arm strength in the outfield during the workout and solid carry on his throws, in the infield he showed 76mph arm strength across the infield with ave glove action and range.  A RH hitter, Tim shows very good bat speed in the box with nice balance and quickness in his swing.  Tim has very strong hands and showed 88mph exit velocity on the radar tee.  Bat should play at the college level with inside power and the ability to hit the ball deep in the zone.  Tim posted a 7.53 sixty time and a 5.22 forty yard time.  Tim is a versatile athlete with college projection on the diamond.   

Mitchell Downing, 2011 RHP Kellam HS (VA)

Mitchell Downing is a 2011 6'2-170lb primary RHP attending Kellam HS in Virginia Beach, VA.  Mitchell is athletic on the mound and showed 82mph fb velocity with good sink, a 66mph cb with solid hs spin, and a 72mph change up that he shows nice feel for.  In the batters box, Mitchell showed above ave hs hitting form and well above ave hs power.  Hitting form a wide base he shows very good power on balls up and in with good balance in swing.  No load approach , we feel there is more power to come with better use of lower half.  Very interesting on the mound and as a hitter, looks to be in the process of developing big strength and should really jump up as a complete player over the next 6 to 12 months.  Named to Top Prospects List for this event.  Must be followed by recruiters.

Cody Queen, SS 2011 Atlantic Shores HS (VA)

Cody Queen was one of the most talented players at the event.  Cody is a 2011-5'10/155lbs SS attending Atlantic Shores HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Cody has tremendous hands with college level range.  Queen has glove, footwork, and arm strength to play at the d1 level.  Cody posted 82mph arm strength across the infield with pro level hands and transfer speeds on double plays.  At the plate, a RH hitter, Queen shows college level bat speed and power with a short stroke and very good leverage in swing.  Cody is quiet in the box and shows college level power with 83mph radar tee exit velocity.  Queen could be a middle of the line up hitter for many d1 programs and has speed to steal bases and score from 1st base on doubles.   Definite d1 player.

Aaron Newman , 2012 C/RHP Salem HS (VA)

Aaron Newman is a physical catcher, 2012-5'11/185 lb player attending Salem HS in Virginia Beach, VA.  Aaron showed big strength in all areas with 2.02 best pop time with 77mph arm strength.  Is thorws are low and show nice carry through the bag at second base.  Aaron has advanced blocking skills and has quick feet and soft hands,  college level tools.  At third base he shows 81mph arm strength with carry at the bag.  His hands hands and glove grade out at the above ave hs level.  Aaron also went the mound and showed a heavy ,86mph fb with arm side run, a 69mph cb with very tight break, and 73mph ch with good arm speed but a little flat as far as life is concerned.  Aaron showed very good line drive power in batting practice with college level hand strength and bat speed coming form a balanced, athletic approach.  Aaron should continue to develop power and with current ability to square the ball, college recruiters should be very interested.  Athletic player which allows Aaron to move all over the field, and a bat that plays at the college level, recruiters will have to decide where to place this hitting, C/3B/RHP.  Definite d1 player.

Justin Milteer, 2012 C/3B Greenbrier Christian Academy (VA)

 Justin Milteer is a 2012-5'9/155lbs primary catcher attending Greenbrier Christian HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Justin also plays third base and pitches.  He showed 7.51sixty yard and 5.47 forty yard time.  Behind the dish he showed 2.09 best pop time and 71mph arm strength reading.  Justin continues to lower his pop times and quicken his transfers.  Hitting form the RH batters box, he showed 82mph exit velocity on the radar tee.  A simple approach in the box, he stays balanced and has a short bat path to the ball.  Justin showed ave hs power with nice bat speed during the games and batting practice also showing good, developing hand strength.  Justin lowered all his times and increased all his strength skills test at this combine.  Justin took infield work and showed 71mph INF arm strength and showed solid tools at third base.  He looked comfortable around the bag and had ave hs glove action.   We had not seen Justin at a combine since the spring and he opened our eyes.  With this type of continued development, Justin will be on many college recruiters radar screen soon.

Austin Oliver, 2011 RHP Orange HS (VA)

Austin Oliver is a 2012- 6'0/170lbs RHP attending Orange HS in Gordonsville, VA.  Austin showed a 82mph fb with very good glove side run, 68mph cb which spins but need better bite, and 69mph change up with very good feel and excellent command.  Austin has a quick arm and some change of directions in his delivery.  Austin posted a 8.09 sixty and 5.66 forty yard time.  In the infield he worked out at third base and showed 78mph arm strength and good footwork and age average glove.  A RH hitter, he showed good power and attacks the ball well.  Austin posted a 85mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  Athletic enough and swings the bat well,  should hit at the high school level.  Oliver has a very good frame and muscle tone, look for him to smooth out mechanics and develop into a front line college caliber pitcher.  College projection.

Trent Ehret, 2011 OF Atlantic Shores HS (VA)

Trent Ehret is a 2011-,6'0/175lbs, athletic outfielder attending Atlantic Shores HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Trent posted a 7.28 sixty and 5.02 forty times.  In the outfield he has 87mph arm strength with instincts to play CF and arm strength to handle RF duties.  Trent gets great jumps on balls and understands how to cover ground and will go after anything hit.  In the batters box swinging from the right hand side, Trent has college level power and showed 80mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  Trent has a all out approach to the ball at the plate with knee load trigger.  He has very good hand strength and really gets the bat through the zone.  Still developing consistency in hitting the dead center of the ball.  Trent should be able to develop this and will add the dimension of high average hitter to his arsenal.  Will move runners and drive in runs at the college level.  Exciting to watch and we feel there is much more in the tank.  Definite college projection.

Taylor Edens, 2012 RHP/1B Nansemond Suffolk Academy (VA)

Taylor Edens is a 2012-6'1/185lbs primary RHP who attends Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in Suffolk, VA.  Edens has a very good pitchers frame with a smooth, clean delivery.  Edens showed a 84mph fb with good command and spotty life, a 69mph cb with good shape and developing bite, and 75mph change up with some tumble.  Taylor appears to be right on the edge of stepping up to the "next level" with velocity and action on his curve ball.  We think he will be upper 80's fast ball by the spring.  Taylor has a clean delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot and online stride.  Taylor has a very athletic frame and room to add strength.  He also posted a 7.47 sixty and 5.28 forty time.  In the batters box, Taylor has a "pitchers swing" with college level power and he can drive the ball deep.  He shows ave hs bat speed and consistency in hitting with above ave hs hitting tools.  Taylor also plays first base and shows good footwork and glove action  around the bag.  Taylor is athletic with a projectable frame and we see a big future on the mound.  D1 projection.

Zach Rice, 2013 LHP Nansemond River HS (VA)

Zach is a very talented 14yr old LHP with a bright future.  A very young 2013 LHP attending Nansemond River HS in Suffolk, VA measuring out at 6'1/155lbs.  Zach has advanced command of his cb which has very good life with depth.  The curve ball is a pitch that can get advanced hs hitter out now.  He showed 77mph fb with very good arm side run, a 64mph cb with excellent depth and command, and a 70mph change up with solid down action.  He posted a 7.40 sixty yard and 5.09 forty yard times.  At first base he showed 73mph arm strength with athletic actions around the bag.  Zach showed nice hittin g tools with 77mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  Zach is balanced in the box with a short bat path and good balance in swing.  Squares up well and shows age ave power.  We see a big future on the mound with definite college projection.

Connor Collins, 2013 2B Bishop Sullivan Catholic HS (VA)

Connor Collins is a 2013,  second baseman attending Bishop Sullivan Catholic HS in Virginia Beach, VA.  Collins can swing the bat for his age and shows very good balance in the box.  A RH hitter with very nice hand eye coordination, Collins can track the ball deep in the zone and can really square up on the ball.  A young player, Collins showed 73mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  We see him only getting stronger and with a very good foundation right now,  Collins should really develop ad a hitter.  In the infield he showed age average skills at second base with 73mph arm strength across the infield and age average foot work.  Collins posted a 7.81 sixty time and 5.72 forty time.  Connor is just entering the development stage of his growth and we see a natural strength progression adding quickness and arm strength in the field.  The bat is already showing itself as a very good tool and we see no reason why he would not be on a college projection with continued work.

Anthony Waldner, 2012 SS/2B Nansemond Suffolk Academy (VA)

Anthony Waldner is a 2012-5'9/140lbs SS attending Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in Suffolk, VA.  Anthony posted a 7.27 sixty yard and 5.01 forty yard times.  Anthony showed very good glove action and college projection on overall defensive ability with 76mph arm strength reading.  Anthony has soft hands and polished actions with his footwork and showed advanced speed with transfers.  He showed above ave hitting tools with good balance and a very short bat path to the ball.  Waldner showed 75mph exit velocity on the radar tee.  Anthony has a line drive swing plane with ability to use the whole field.  Power should increase with natural maturation.  Anthony is athletic and developing every time we see him.  Look for big drops in running times and increases in arm strength and power, as he natural grows.  Athletically  balanced has him heading  to college projection on tools.

Jesse Howlett, 2013 SS/3B Alliance Christian HS (VA)

Jesse Howlett is a 2013 5'7/155lbs primary SS attending Alliance Christian HS in Portsmouth, VA.  He posted a 7.32 sixty and 5.3 forty yard times.  Jesse showed 74mph arm strength across the infield with age average range and quickness.  In the outfield, he showed 77mph arm strength with very nice carry on his throws.  On the mound Jesse showed 75mph FB with age ave life and command, 63mph CB with age ave life and ave command.  In the batters box, Jesse showed ability to square up on the ball and showed average hs varsity level bat speed and a short bat path.  Jesse is in the developmental stage of growth with good arm strength and projectable tools in the box.  Exciting player on the field with constant motion and life on the diamond, hustler with bright future.

David Berman 2011, OF/C First Colonial HS (VA)

David Berman is a left handed hitting outfielder who will get you attention with his bat.  Bat continues to get stronger and David is now getting d1 recruiting interest.  A 2011 OF/C, 5'11/180lbs attending First Colonial HS in Virginia Beach, VA , David has college level bat speed and can turn on the inside pitch.   Posted a 86mph exit velocity on radar tee.   Definite college bat and with 6.99 sixty speed, enough speed to handle the range needed in the outfield at the college level.  David is simple in his approach with advanced balance and very good hand eye coordination.  Simple rock back load, he can hit the ball deep in the zone and show very nice gap  power.  David should hit in the top of the line up in college.  David is a catcher also, posting a 2.01 pop time and 78mph arm velocity.  His skills behind the plate are solid, however we like David better at his secondary position in the outfield.  David showed off 84mph arm strength during the workout with college level carry on his throws.  He is accurate and should be able to handle RF duties if necessary.  Recruitable OF with strong college projection. 

Drew Ridenouer, 2012 OF/IF Alliance Christian HS (VA)

Drew Ridenouer is a 2012-5'10/175lbs third baseman attending Alliance Christian HS in Portsmouth, VA.  Drew posted a 7.31 sixty and a 5.35 forty yard times.  In the infield workout, Drew showed 75mph arm strength in the infield with good accuracy and developing footwork.  In the outfield he showed 71mph arm strength with age ave carry on his throws.  Drew has a good frame to add muscle tone, we see his running times dropping in the future.  Drew is a RH hitter with a tall stance and a medium base.  He has good balance and does drive through the ball very well.  Drew shows well above ave hs power with more to come.  Developing and athletic leads us to see college projection.  Fully into developmental stage of growth.  Must keep a eye on.

Brandon Savage, 2013 RHP/OF Nansemond River HS (VA)

Brandon Savage is a RHP who can also swing the bat.  Brandon is a 2013-6'1/165lbs primary RHP who also plays the OF.  Attending Nansemond River HS in Suffolk VA, Brandon showed nice tools on the mound and at the plate during the games.  Savage has grown to 6'1 and looks to add a few more inches over the next year.  On the mound he showed 76mph fb with nice glove side run, a 66mph cb with seeping action, and 69mph change up with good drop.  In the outfield he showed 75mph arm strength with athletic release and good carry on his throws.  Brandon posted a 7.97 sixty yard and 5.53 forty yard times.  A LH hitter with very good hand eye coordination and ability to use the whole field, Brandon should wear out gaps for doubles.  Brandon has a simple approach with quiet actions and direct bat path to the ball.  Brandon shows ave hs power and will add to that as he matures.  Brandon never seems to be over matched, tools should play at the college level.  Lots of potential on the mound and should start getting college attention soon, bat should have some schools interested in Brandon as a position player.

Brandon Beasley, 2014 IF Alliance Christian HS (VA)

Brandon Beasley is a 2014 second baseman attending Alliance Christian School.  Brandon posted a 7.46 sixty time and a 5.18 forty yard time.  During the infield workout, he showed 71mph arm strength across the infield with ave hs footwork and glove skills.  Brandon's throws are accurate and his arm strength should continue to develop.  A RH hitter, he showed age ave bat speed and power with very little triggering in swing.  Brandon does use the whole field in his approach and should end up being a good situational hitter.  Brandon is in the developmental stage of growth and should continue to add strength as he grows.  Brandon did show above average power with a 86mph exit velocity off the radar tee.  Brandon should be fun to watch develop over the next 3 years.

Chaz Tanner, 2011 IF Stafford HS (VA)

Chaz Tanner is a very balanced player with above average strength for his age.  A 2011-5'9/170lbs primary second baseman attending Stafford HS in Fredericksburg, VA.  Chaz posted a 7.28 sixty yard and 5.10 forty yard times.  In the infield workout, Chaz showed 80mph arm strength with very good accuracy.  Chaz has enough arm strength to turn the double play from the bag side of the second base bag.  Chaz showed good glove action and above ave hs transfer speed with above ave hs footwork.  Hitting from RH side, he showed very good balance and strength in his swing with college level numbers.  Chaz has a very balanced set up with very good extension after contact.  Shows the ability to hit the ball deep over the plate and we see big power projection.  No reason why he would not put up very good power numbers in college.  College projection.  We really want to see Chaz in the spring, we feel you will see a much more polished and athletic player due to maturing and natural development of core strength.  

Reed McKinney, OF 2013 Western Branch HS (VA)

Reed McKinney is a 2013- 6'3/185lbs primary OF attending Western Branch HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Reed is a long legged, broad shouldered player with a thin frame that will add tone.  Reed posted a 7.8 sixty and a 5.63 forty yard time.  In the outfield he showed 68mph OF jayvee level arm strength with age average carry on his throws.  A left handed hitter, he showed 78mph exit velocity on the radar tee.  In the batters box, he shows age average bat speed and some collapse on the back side at contact.  More of a contact hitter, he can improve power with overall strength development.  Tall stance and average balance throughout swing.  Developing player.

Taylor Hill, 2012 C Grafton HS (VA)

Taylor Hill can mash.  We were really impressed with his swing in batting practice and also in the games.  Taylor, a 2012 5'11/170lbs primary catcher attending Grafton HS in Yorktown, VA.  Taylor showed 88mph exit velocity on the radar tee and continued to show college level power with very good bat speed and excellent leverage in his swing.  He has a simple, clean approach to hitting with advanced balance and quickness in his short stroke.  Taylor is athletic in the box and we see huge power numbers down the road.  Behind the dish, he showed 2.03 best pop time and 70mph arm strength reading.  Taylor showed age average hands and footwork and above ave hs arm strength.  We see his catching skills to develop and added to big bat, Taylor should be recruited heavily.  Taylor is athletic and showed 7.22 sixty and 5.10 forty times.  Taylor has a good frame that can handle muscle tone and he should get plenty of college interest.

Andrew Parker-2013 OF Western Branch HS (VA)

Andrew Parker is a 2013 5'9/152lbs OF attending Western Branch HS in Chesapeake, VA.  Andrew posted a 7.5 sixty and a 5.10 forty yard times.  In the OF he posted a 71mph arm strength reading with ave hs carry on his throws.  He did show very good accuracy on throws.  A RH hitter with good bat speed for his age and a short, quick bat path.  Andrew has a simple approach with quiet feet in the box and a slight rock back load.  He uses the whole field and should develop into a very good situational hitter.  Young and talented player just beginning the developmental stage of growth.  Athletic with very good hand eye coordination and ability to make adjustments make us believe college projection on skills.
