Miller Field.
High School: Funkhouser comes to Brevard from Poquoson, Va. where he played at Poquoson High School under Coach Kenny Bennett. He played second base for the 2009 and 2010 AA Virginia State Baseball Championship team and was a two time member of the Bay Rivers All-District team and All-Region team, as well as a two-time All-Star selection. In 2011, he was the second baseman of the VHSCA East team in the East-West All-Star Games. For his high school career, Funkhouser hit .426 with 14 doubles and eight triples, scoring 72 runs while driving in 58. In the classroom, he was on the Honor Roll.
